教材分析本單元是九年級的最后一個教學新課的單元。這個單元主要是圍繞著有關(guān)瀕臨滅絕的動物這一話題，讓學生學習怎樣保護我們的環(huán)境，以及就某一問題展開辯論。在學習新知識的同時，還復習一般現(xiàn)在時（Present Simple）、現(xiàn)在進行時( Present Progress)、一般過去時( Past Tense)、現(xiàn)在完成時（Present Perfect)等時態(tài)及被動語態(tài)(Passive Voice)。本課為第一課時，是培養(yǎng)聽說能力為主的新授課。這節(jié)課要為整個單元的學習起到一個熱身的作用，不僅要求學生掌握一定的詞匯量，為下面的學習打下很好的基礎(chǔ)，而且要求學生收集有關(guān)瀕臨滅絕的動物的信息，為后面的話題提供了充分的語言基礎(chǔ)和語言依據(jù)。因此，我把本課的重點、難點確定于：1、語音、詞匯方面：一些表示動物名稱的名詞（nouns）和描寫動物特征的形容詞（description words）；2、通過聽說等練習，讓學生運用描述動物的形容詞來描述所看到及所知道的動物的特征，同時也復習一般現(xiàn)在時表示主語具備的性格、特征的用法。
